Alexander The Grape

And here's the second installment of our playthrough of atrocious retro game Alex Kidd in High Tech World. Tune in to see puzzle design that trolls the player so hard their head would turn into a bridge. Also, to watch Gabriel, in his first attempt editing gameplay footage, somehow manage to splice in the final twenty minutes of the game twice. But that's nothing a pair of seasoned giggle merchants like us can't cope with. Keep encouraging him, he needs it at his age.

  2. This was... interesting. In a "it's horrible game being played horribly by horrible people but I just can't stop this torture" way.

Eastern people are so more spiritual than we western barbarians.

  4. I'd love to hang out with you two for an arvo. Digging the semi-regular updates and LPs, keep it up.

  6. Interesting how game length was significantly shorter in the olden days. Mainly because the time spent on solving puzzles & working around the controls was counted into play-time.

    1. And I guess there was less space on whatever storage-devices were being used.

  7. Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders what a frustrating game that was. I didn't ever finish it I got to the moon but could never get past the maze. Anyway thanks for doing these and the podcasts, I along with many others it would seem really enjoy them.

  9. I'm really glad to see you've decided to do another of these. It's easy and very entertaining to watch, and that's all it really needs to be for me to keep checking the site for your next one. Top form chaps.

  10. Lovely, do more podcasts ... with video. In fact, do a situational humor show with you two as the leads. It can revolve around the wacky hijinx of the loveable owner of a bar, and his wise cracking sidekick. Maybe an old fling can come in one day and spice things up.

Also, Zombies and or Nazi's are always a plus.

  15. The shrine "puzzle" is probably easier for a Japanese person: http://eos.kokugakuin.ac.jp/modules/xwords/entry.php?entryID=765

I understand the practice is reasonably known in their culture.
